Marty Engel is the owner of Floorcraft and offers personalized service for sales and installation of wood floors, waterproof vinyl plank, wall to wall carpet and sanding & finishing of wood floors old and new. He is a factory authorized dealer for leading manufacturers such as Dreamweaver, Shaw Industries, and Mohawk. He became a dealer with Mohawk and Shaw in 1989 working out of the back of a furniture store that he later occupied for 9 years on General Washington Drive in Alexandria, VA. He later outsourced shipping and receiving to keep the overhead low in order to make Floorcraft more competitive and to concentrate on exceptional service. Marty meets with all his customers at the job site with floor covering samples from his mobile showroom. He makes a detailed inspection of the work areas and draws a floor plan with measurements in order to estimate the square footage and provide clarity about products and services required for quality workmanship. He prides himself on having a professional service with clear communication, timely installations, thorough clean up and follow-through after the work is complete. He believes that expectations are everything. Discussing issues ahead of time along with detailed written proposals is the key to ensuring happy customers. Experience has taught the team players at Floorcraft that there is always room to grow and learn. Problems are only solutions if approached with a positive attitude.
